VARIATIONS
tThe change of contract works happens to many construction contracts, therefore our Variation service gives an opportunity to value the required variations in order to determine their monetary effect.
In regards to causes of variations, ES QS Quantity Surveyors will provide with further services: • Recognition of required variations; • Immediate measurement and cost of additional/improved elements; • Cost involvement advice; • Contract variations agreement. After identifying variations and prepare immediate measurement for the project we provide our client with a report of our findings. If there are a few variations involved, we review each of them separately and then add up their net values to generate final summary. This total net value will be deducted from or added to the interim valuation that can be passed to the contractor. Any alteration or modification of the design, quantity or quality of the works reported by the architect must be the subject of variations. To make sure we are providing with accurate Valuation orders we need to be informed of any changes to the project. Before the architect issues the variation order we advise him of the cost involvement of any proposed variations. This means that the architect and client can decide to progress or come up with an alternative proposal. We submit the totals of variations to the contractor for comments. After the settlement of any disagreements in prices or quantities between ES QS Quantity Surveyors and the contractor's surveyor, the final variation account can be signed by the contractor. We are always providing all required variations with reliable cost advice and as efficiently as possible. |
